Personality: Rhayah gives off an air of confidence and intriguing allure at all times. At home cloaking herself in either shades of midnight or pale blues that match her hair, one can tell she approaches by the sound of her heels wherever she walks. She’s playful and mischievous as well, enjoying spinning her words in riddles or vague insinuations. But take heed; she’ll switch to a blunt tongue before one’s senses can adjust, and her eyes will glint with satisfaction.Now, while she is one who pokes, and enjoys the occasional one in return, her ire is another matter. If she is angered, one will know in one of three ways: 1) she will tell them 2) she will threaten them 3) putting her magic on full display. Collateral damage means little unless there are children in the area.Speaking of such matters, Rhayah is a businesswoman. She brews her own potions and sells them at her shop, willing to lend her aid to her customers’ woes if they are willing to pay her price. However, there is one category that she refuses to trade in: love. As a worshiper of Menphina, she takes matters of the heart very seriously. Deadly so. She will not concoct any mixture that would cause another to fall in love with someone; a playful aphrodisiac between a knowing couple or polycule sure, but to sway one’s mind? Never. Insistence will be met with her choice of either fire, lightning, or ice.

Background

Rhayah has magic in her blood. It was her father’s fault; falling for her mother and wooing her in turn, long enough to produce 7 children to inherit the gift. Rhayah was born last, the youngest amongst her siblings. With her birth, her father set off, as he usually did when the women of their village tired of the men. Except this time, he never returned. As a result, Rhayah knew her father even less than the rest of her siblings, and seeing her mother’s heartbreak while growing up did nothing for her impression of him.As her talent for magic began to show, the elder women of her community who knew magic mentored her. However, there was a problem; her raw power. Unchecked, she often set rooftops alight with fire or lightning and delighted in the flames. She relished being able to cool a drink or freeze a lake with the tip of her finger.Around her 18th birthday, a letter arrived via Post-Moogle; it was from her father, bidding her to come find him. He had something to give her. Her birthright.Her rather had taken to living in Southern Thanalan, incredibly close to the Amal'jaa rather than the big city or nearby villages. She had to cross the desert, felling sandworms and other creatures with blasts of magic channeled through the staff she'd made with her own hands. Upon finding him, the man she found was enimagic, welcoming, and...strange. He seemed regretful for never returning to see her mother, but was insistent he wouldn't change a thing. Rhayah's disdain for the man only grew.Still, he held up his end of the bargain, passing on his staff of many ages onto her. It had been passed down from mage to mage in his bloodline, holding great secrets and power alike. She was enamored with the thing; she cared more for it than whatever her father kept spewing to her as she gazed upon it. The only word of gratitude came when she left.She decided to take up residence in Ul'dah, having grown a fondness for the heat and the bustle of the streets. She promised hrself she would not seek out her father again, and would avoid any area she felt the presence of his aether.That was 15 years ago.

- Speaking of OOC, when it comes to bigger plots and/or heavier content, let’s talk about it! I want to make sure everyone is on the same page as much as possible. Both of us being comfortable is my highest priority.

Timezone: I'm in EST, but I have no problem working with other timezones! Let's work together to find what works best for us!

- I’m quite flexible with where and how! Although for long-term threads and/or replies of 3 or more paras at a time, I do prefer Discord. We can always discuss and find common ground!
Looking For : friends, slice of life, heavier plots/themes, casual conversation, silly moments, adventures, fight scenes, lengthy relationships (mostly platonic), rivalries, continuous/lengthy plot lines, developing narratives, AUs and more! I love both planning and spontaneity so let's have fun with it.
Shipping : At present, Rhayah is multiship and each romantic relationship with another person's OC will be contained within its own universe. Exceptions may be made if extensive talking and communication is had, but do not go in with this being the expectation.
Moon: Z'mhiva is paired to moon so if we've talked before and you'd like to see how he actually looks in-game, feel free to ask!
